I was hiking the mountains of the Baliem Gorge in West Papua (Irian Jaya) in Indonesia for 6days, where there are no roads, no shops, just steep mountains, deep gorges, beautiful views and only indigen (Dani, Lani, ...) tribes living and working in conditions we had for 1000 years. I stayed in their houses and ate what they ate, sweet potatos, leaves and some banana for a week.
