Milford Sound, Fjordland-NP, South Island, New Zealand

Milford Sound is known for its beauty. It is one of the main attractions on the south island. For a photographer it's a challenge to shoot. Not because of the landscape but more because of the sand flies / black flies which nags you all the time.

Wow! Brilliant depth of field and colours. I hope the flies didn't bite too much and if they did, thanks for suffering to bring this to TE!

gutes Bild. Mir gefaellt die Tiefe dieses Bildes...ab dem strand ueber den Fjord bis zu den Gebirgen.
das licht hat gut mitgespielt und somit ist das gesamte Bild von einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphaere gepraegt.

Hello Frank, spectacular view of the so often photographed Milford Sound. The great DOF, low light created a wondeful atmosphere combined with the longer exposition, which made the sea to look smoother. Well done. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards, Michael

I know fjordland and it's one of the more rainy place on the globe. You were lucky to have such a sky :-)
