Photographer’s Note

In a high pasture, large crowds were picnicing (at snow level, even in August) during a festival.
First, the whole family had been posing very stiffly and I won't show the result here (!). After this, the boy wanted to resume the ball game with his sister and some other youngsters behind me : for a moment, she resisted playfully, posing for me in a more natural way.

The colours of this photo are not really to my taste but they could be of some anthropological interest ; not sure of this B&W version, I've been working on it since one week on and off, please tell me what you think !

géniale la scène, le naturel, la spontanéité, la vie... très bonne profondeur avec des détails à observer jusqu'à l'horizon... les couleurs, je les trouve sympa, mais ton noir et blanc est franchement magnifique,
cette scène me rappelle une exposition aux rencontres photographiques d'Arles sur des gitans en Camargue, avec des scènes de vies et des décors ouverts tout en profondeur,
la qualité de cette photo et de nombreuses autres dans ta galerie valent bien ce que j'y ai vu

Nice expressions and tells us a lot about this picnic spot of Rize.I think they don't do any cooking here, but bring all the packed foods and have it here. Will they spend the night here or do they pack up after the sunset ? I would have liked to see this one in colors so that we can see the beautiful colours of her scarf and the ball which she is holding . This is a joyful moment which could have better in colours but anyway this too have its unique style of n o b o r d e r s ...Loved it

Bonjour Catherine,

Pour sur, la version N&B est bien plus marquante en enlevant les couleurs (pas tres rejouissante d un point de vue esthetique). Je n avais pas remarqué au premier abord le gommage de la dame, comme quoi c est plutot reussi. Tu as bien fait de le faire car sinon cela perturbe la lecture de l image.
Une photo pleine de vie qui fait vraiment plaisir a voir.
