Photographer’s Note
Swaddee Krub everybody,
For the 3rd day in Yogya,in the afternoon I bound for the evening sunlight of this day at Borobudur. When I reached the Borobudur that in late afternoon but still many peoples there.I'd start to find the wide shot of the monument around base of the monument.I took many shot until saw the man in this shot at north east corner.I saw the man stand still for a while that I think he had something to ponder when he look at the monument in this position. When i took this shot,I saw the sky so beautiful that so suitable with this atmosphere. For additional information at the monument base on the leftside,You will see base of the first period and additional structure for base after for reinforcement to prevent the settlement.
For post process,Firstly I duplicate 2 layer to split sky layer from BG layer,Then use gradient effect on sky layer/reduce to 35% transparent and use shadow/hight light on BG layer to reduce light and open detail in shade. Secondly,I cropped a little bit to composition then use curve to adjust contrast.Thirdly,I use color balance and hue/saturation tool to adjust the color for BG.Finally,I used smart sharpen, framing and resize to finish.

Hi patshoo
Good composition, pov, & sharpness. Maybe I would rope off the midtone & shadow areas, & boost brIghtness & contrast a bit? And burn in the strong highlights in the clouds? But excellent shadow detail, & well managed backlighting. Tfs!

Hi Patshoo,
Really fascinating clouds in the sky. Even if the man is looking at the Borobudur monument it looks like he is admiring at the sky. Very well seen and good photo-job! TFS and have nice day!
Cheers,
Ulf

Hi Patshoo, I'm happy that you include now human elements in your photos ! You have found the best POV, this man in front ot the huge, famous monument... I would have used a bit of "shadows/highlights" with photoshop to get some more light in the FG but it's great as it shows the amazement that one can feel in front of such a timeless construction.
Compliments,
Cath.

Bonsoir Patshoo
Le grand angle donne un drôle d'effet sur ce personnage mais l'image me plait bien. Superbe ciel et bon choix du format vertical.

Hi Patshoo!
Excellent wide angle feeling from this excellent capture of one of the most impressive monuments I have seen in my life! Including a person was a great option, although there is some visible "transformation" or distortion, if you prefer, because of the wide angle. Excellent framing and composition, fantastic light managment, wonderful sky! Congratulations!
