Photographer’s Note

Groups of older gentlemen hanging around the streets and seemingly spending hours in discussion of the events of the day are a common feature of life in Kathmandu. The older women always seem to be busy, but the men seem to have hours to pass away in chatting.This form of socializing seems part of a way of life more unhurried than that of the modern world.The political events of Nepal in recent years has given them a lot to talk about.I found this group obviously enjoying their chat in the ancient heart of Patan

Hello kevin. The social with one another. Men at the age. A well-known topic. The topic is so interesting that one could create its own category for it on TE. I like these streets scenes,very typical of this country!We often see some men chating a long time in the street,that 's something we never see in France,exept in a cafe!I love their hats,their clothes and their expression!The colours are beautiful!

You caught them unaware, they are fully into their discussion and it gives the picture a great atmosphere. Bright colors and well sharp, the tight framing of the group highlights them nicely.
