Photographer’s Note

Day 8 in Peru, the highest point up until then, if you look closely on the left we can see our guide Percy, lower on the trail. It was really hard to push the final stretch up to Yanama Pass and I really felt the effects of high altitude with slight dizziness, swollen cheeks and lips, hands trembling under the strain of the climb and the many days in high altitude. We braved the cold wind and misty snow in the clouds, fought wilting and fatigue, but we got there!
Quite a moment, a Condor gliding mere meters over us in complete silence, before disappearing behind the rock face. In Queshua culture this magnificent vulture brings up the souls of the dead in the skies, because he is the only creature to climb forth up in these unattainable skies.

Hi Bruno. Wonderful scene and well captured. Good colours and sharpness. Well composed also, the inclusion of your guide is good to give a sense of scale. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good weekend, Paul.

Hello Bruno,
Tha man at the bottom of the trail look tiny in such vast landscape. The vertical composition is very good to show the narrow valley and trail. The colour of the land is very interesting, wonder what minerals are found in this area. Nice sharpness and light. Thanks Bruno.

Hi Bruno,
I can't get over how brown the landscape is, does it ever turn gree.
Lovely shot, really shows the scale of this place.
Took me a bit to spot the man, he sure is small in comparison.
Good shot.
Cheers

Hi Bruno, in this one I like the track where you were walking (probably)! It really gives us an idea of the place, its dimensions!
A bit overexposed in the sky and snow!
TFS - Congratulations!
Best regards,

beutifull shot. I like it all. the brown grass, the path, the mountain with the snow and the clouds building up behind it. The guide reveals the grandness of this place; he's so small in comparison. Thanks for shooting.
Regards
Patrick
