Hello Tom
You've captured a very beautiful light covering Ouro Preto in your photo, giving a heavenly atmosphere to the city. It looks like the sunbeams are intentionally directed to the church in the lower right corner.

A very good way to underline two similar churches, one in the bottom right and the other in the hill side.

The effect of the first light of the day over the ciy of Ouro Preto is simply fantastic! I really like the mood of the picture, I feel like I'm there... seeing that scene from a window!

Hi Tom,
Since the first peek this photo dazzled me, for the tension ensuing from the diagonal beam of light, illuminating through the early fog and revealing the two temples over the hills in all their mistery and sense of devoutness. Then I took a tour of all the photos taken in Ouro Preto, and, I have to tell you, this is among the best, if only for its successful composition and seizing of this magical moment, a blast of creativity amidst many dull and obvious approaches. As for the technical side, however, one could greatly benefit from the use of a neutral density graduated filter, in order to balance the huge contrast of light between the first plane, too dark, and the sky, too bright, bringing some more color and hues. Also, one could loose the tree just to the right of the picture, thus avoiding any distractions. TFS and best regards,
