Photographer’s Note
Around 6 months ago, i took a series of photos of the ferry 'Riverdance'-which ran aground in a storm in Clevelys near Blackpool, on the north west coast of England.
Some months later they have begun to break the ship into pieces where it lay, as all hope of refloating her were abandoned.
Though, for the local people, it's presence here on the beach has meant that cafes & other shops have seen a massive increase in trade due to the sheer amount of people flocking to see this giant.
One unusual thing about this scene, is that the mountains of the lake district can be seen quite clearly across the bay.
Regards to all @ TE,
David

So it's still there! I really like the panoramic layout here David with the rocks in the foreground, the ferry perfectly placed, and the mountains in the distance. Excellent composition and beautifully natural colours.
Off to Turkey on Friday.
All the best, Roberto

Hi David,
a very impressive and apocalyptic scene. The scale effect of the giant near the men is very surprising.

Hello David,
I like your panoramic treatment of this subject, showing the coast and mountains beyond. The light falls in exactly the right spot, and the subdued colours are lovely. You have produced an image that documents a dramatic event -- and does it in style!
Best wishes....Maggie
