Photographer’s Note

You might know by now that I was in Japan about two months ago.
We stayed the first week in Kyoto and simply said: there are a lot of sights to see there!
And as things turned out, I needed more time in Kyoto to experience it all.
This photo was taken the last day in Kyoto at Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺, Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion Temple) or more formally known as Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺, Deer Garden Temple).
I am not intending to write alot so I'm simply adding the link to the wikipedia article here: Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺, Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion Temple)

The photo was taken with my new camera, a Canon EOS 40D.
I apologise for the overexposure of the sky and the generally dark overall look to the photo, I simply hadn't got used to the camera yet.
I actually had to do a subtle colour correction in the sky, not that it helps much but it did make a slight difference.
Photo was taken as a regular JPEG file.

And for the most part I hope you enjoy it!
