Photographer’s Note
Hello friends in TE.
Shot this image close to sunset today on my way back from the Penang Island to the mainland from the ferry. This is Sun Princess Cruise Ship.
When the Sun Princess entered service in 1995, she was the world's largest cruise ship. The prototype of a series of four similar sister ships, she sports a rather "boxy" exterior look, but numerous well-designed public rooms, as well es expansive open decks.
The five-star Sun Princess, along with its sister ships Dawn Princess, Sea Princess, form the core of Princess new Grand Class fleet of superliners. These ships are so advanced, so imaginatively conceived and so tastefully decorated they are leading cruising into a new era. From the central atrium with its floating staircase, domed ceiling and glass ceiling and glass elevators to the spectacular Riviera and Lido Decks with their pools, whirlpool spas, bars and casual dining areas, including the first 24-hour restaurant, the Horizon Court, these are the perfect ships to sail in the Caribbean and more.

Hi Jusni,
These boats are definitely small floating towns. Amazing how such a large structure can stay afloat. Nice framing of this subject. The colours and sharpness are very good and overall the image is very intereting. Nice work Jusni.

Hi Jusni,
Splendid view of Sun Princess Cruise Ship is really eye catching from its thumbnail. Its beautiful design perfectly merged your creative scene while adding spectacular tones of sea and sky. Bridge crane at background says this type of cruise ships have not any more chance on shallow waters. Very good one, congratulations.

Hello Jusni,
Old sailing vessels have an attraction of their own, but they are really beautiful those modern ships too!
Fine point of view to show details, and the warmth of the sunset light adds an extra glow to colours...
A fine composition!

hi Jusni
Lovely view of the cruise liner in full sight (which makes a stop in Penang) and compared nicely to the crane of cargo vessel. Well composed as usual from your D80 and I am wondering what lens you will get next.

Very good lighting on the cruise ship despite the gloomy sky. The gantry on the far right adds colours. Excellent composition.
Best regards

p/s One question: I understand u have a sigma 70-300mm with macro feature. Does it have Auto Focus? My niece wants to get it for her Nikon D40X, just not sure if it is compatible.
