Photographer’s Note

Belianske Tatras ( Polish: Tatry Bielskie) this mountain range in Eastern Tatras, in the whole situated on Slovakia. In straight line they have 12 kilometers of length. Built almost exclusively from sedimentary rocks: limestones, marls and dolomites. Numerous karsic phenomena characterize this place.

On my spring picture made from border of Poland and Slovakia, somewhere in neighbourhood of village Jurgow, you can see the most important tops of this range.
From left: Placzliwa Skala 2142 meters, Hawran (they looks like pyramid :) 2152 m, Nowy Wierch 1999m, Muran 1890m.
Peaks are not accessible for tourists to protect the rare animals and plants.

Hello Maciej.
I thought I would be first to comment on this very fine landscape, but Stephane has beaten me to it!
It's a tremendous composition and full of rich colours and excellent sharp detail. The exposure settings have allowed you to get great depth of field and to capture the highlights such as the snow very well. There is a strong diagonal and good foreground interest, and those mountains look amazing. Really, a superb landscape. My compliments.

Kilka dni temu pisałam Ci pod zdjęciem w OB ze nie widziałam dawno tak udanej fotografi z Rusinowej Polany;)..nie mam pewności- ale czy to zdjęcie takze jest zrobione z tego miejsca?
bardzo dbasz o szczególy na kazdym z planów- bardzo to cenię, znam, podziwiam;)))))

Hi Maciej,
Great pov with this strong diagonal line in front. Creates a nice depth but aslo a very strong composition and good barrier to the snow peak mountains in the far background. The contrast between those greens and white with nice polarised sky on top is wondewrful...great shot.

Hello Maciej,

Nice work!! Both in the blue as well as in the green of the trees there is a very pleasant gradual. From lighter to darker blue, and the green moves from saturated to a bit less saturated. The massive mountain and then the diagonal in the foreground with the trees, breaking it up a bit. Very nice!

I love seeing such beautiful pictures, with very nice landscapes - trees and snow covered mountais - taken in Poland, a Country we don't know much down here in Brazil! It looks so beautiful and your pictures with excellent POV, sharpness, light and colors really shows to me that your Country is a pretty nice place, where I'd love to go sometime in my life!

Hi, Maciej. Spring is a very good season for shooting mountian pictures. The contrasts are well marked between the vegetation of the lower levels and the snow on the peaks. It's also the case in your picture with the green trees and the snow covered summits. The light is very good here and the little clouds make the sky very agreeable to look at.

Przepiekne sa Tatry szczegolnie w Twoim obiektywie. Bardzo lubie odwiedzac te gory, nie zawsze jest to mozliwe, ale patrzac na takie zdjecia czuje sie jakbym tam byl. Swietny kadr i jakosc.

Przegladalam dzis Twoje folio na TE i musze powiedziec, ze calkiem ladne te Twoje zdjecia... ;D. A tak zupelnie powaznie - piekne sa :).
Podoba mi sie to ujecie na Tatry - choinki, jak choinki, jakies 100 metrow ode mnie tez takie sa, ale Tater ni jak nie ma tak blisko mnie ;). Ladnie skomponowane zdjecie, no i swiatlo takie ladniutkie. Podoba mi sie bardzo :).
Z kaszubskim pozdrowieniem :)

Witaj raz jeszcze

WSZYSTKIE strzaly "gorskie" miod na moje oczy. Zrobilbym dokladnie tak samo. Kultura wywazenia kolorow - perfect. Mnie czasem jednak pomosi, o czym wiem. Dobra puszka, dobre sloiki, odpowiednie oko i PS nie do PS-ucia a do wyciagniesia meritum sprawy.
