Photographer’s Note

This is my first shot from the beatifull island zanzibar in tanzania.
The clear white beaches the clear water was a dream.
You can see a shot of our hotes at the nord-east of the island.This man comes from the bar which is located on the water.At this time it was flood and so the water is touching the base.In the evening you could walk threw it.

Hello Toba,
I like the geometric lines of the bridge and the dominating blue tones of sea and sky. The person walking along the walkway is a definite bonus. Very good clarity. There is a slight tilt to the right in the horizon, but I do not find this unduly disturbing.

Hi, Tobias. A difficult picture to expose with the white sand, the sea that give very high lights and the roof of the pier that is rather dark. I think you managed it quite well. the pillars divide the image into different parts and this gives a good structure to the picture. the human presence adds life to the scene. Maybe you could have tried to put the boats on the right enbtirely inside the frame of the pillars. I think this would have looked better.

Hallo Tobias,
Very good colour balance here, but also the composition is a strong key in this image. Two people on the beach, one on the jetty, it works really good. Pity the boat is not to be seen complete. But your colour handling between water, dark brown from the jetty, and the softer blue form the sky is very beautiful.

I didn't know there were so many covered bridges around the world! Well, I guess this one is more like a pier...

Hi Tobias, paradisiac place and very nice picture... I like a lot the composition you've made with the bridge cutting the beach and the man just walking there. Great colours too. Just one thing, maybe you should have avoided the blue frame, it cuts the picture in some way, i think that just the black one should suit better. Congratulations and thanxs for sharing! Chau chau,

Great view along the coastline and over the fresh blue water. The pier is a very nice addition and is nicely captured, exactly from the side. The light is enhancing too. Well done!

What a nice shot of the bridge over beautiful turquoise waters.
Theres a similar shot of a bridge in Myanmar (higher) on stilts which this reminds me of, just the Zanzibar version instead!

Hallo Toba,
The geometry of this pier works very well and gives a good graphism to your picture. The tones turquoise of the sea and such a white sand have a nice chromatic contrast with the sky, the vegetation and the dark tones of the pier and its roof. The man walking is a bonus taht works very well in the composition.

Hi Tobias,

After savanna, the edges pleasant of the sea. It is a paradisiac photograph, this blue water is superb. Contrasts of light are interesting here and I like this framing of the image with this bridge which brings a graphic aspect to the image. Good glance Tobias.

This photo absolutely deserves the title!!!
I loved the ever blue color of sea, it is inviting me there I can sense!! It is like there are blue marbles under water that reflects the color this way... Can't take me eyes off...

Tobias,
a wonderful composition with great colors and contrast between the water and the covered pier. You could have achieved even better results in the colors and the clouds by using a circular polarizing filter.
