Photographer’s Note

Yes, this is not an ordinary street, this is one of the most charming I've ever seen. It's located in the famous Bairro Alto in Lisboa.
(Just a small digression - I really wonder what does "Bairro" mean - because in Bulgarian there's a word "bair" which means hill and the area in Lisboa is located on a hill. Help, please? :))
So, I guess here we have many things: the garbage can, the car, the lantern, the windows and laundry.. Here's probably the place to mention: I really wonder how Lisboans stand all these foreign people taking photos of their laundry? I'm almost sure many of them are pretty annoyed, I would be either.

There are only two things I don't like about this photo and probably you'd agree with me: now I notice that I've cut the lantern a little from the top, perhaps it would have been better to leave some space over it. The other thing is the sky. Well, I guess a good option would have been to fake it but that would be against the TE rules and wouldn't represent the real looks of the place. I was wondering what to do at least to mitigate this imperfection but in the end left it like that. So any suggestions here would be very, very helpful!
