Photographer’s Note
Taken on a rusting bridge in Sapporo, Japan. This is an Angel motiff that decorates the side panels of a footbridge. It has seen better days and is covered in rust. This particular angel struck me because the rust looks a little like a trail of smoke, as if she is on fire and crashing back to earth (hence the title).

Hi Philip
What a great crop of your imagination.
This is great photographer's ability... To see a good photo where not everyone can.
Well done

excellent composition and colors! the vertical pattern of rust seem to hint rain showers falling from the clouds. very nice!

Hi Phil,
I think this is a good abstract composition and your perception is certainly very good to have notice this. The rust does appears like smoke billowing out from the dove.
Good work, phil

Philip,
It always makes me smile when folk take the trouble to present little details like this. To me, it is a sign that the photographer is "awake" to variations in scale, not just stuck solely on the human figure or the landscape.
TFS then!

Colin
