Photographer’s Note
A historical village, with an icon of Theotokos found in the woods in 17th century, on mt. Grammos, on the Albanian border, on an altimeter of 1240m, Plikati is one of Konitsa's stone-masons's villages. It has some 50 permanent inhabitants but quite a lot stone-work.
It was September, but its families had made their provisions in fire-wood, because winter comes early high up on mt. Grammos.
