Photographer’s Note
The Gita Bhawan lies in the complex of the Swarg Ashram and is known for their substantial work on Hinduism. Although one of the oldest temple complex in the area, the buildings are very well maintained and renewed.
The Ganga Arti and Hawan (prayers) on the Parmarth Ghat every evening is a must to see. All are welcome to enjoy the nice mood by mantras(songs) and sound of bells while the sun is setting till the silence of the darkness returns.
Here a small scene of young boys, singing along by the offering fire under the blessing hand of Shiva.

Hello Henk,
Excellent image and very colourful. The dedication expresed by these youngsters is very evident in the image. Well composed picture with nice bright colours and details. The angle is very effective to create a more dynamic image, including the smoke to create a more interesting mood. Thanks Henk.

schitterend Henk,
de rook en de gezichten van de leerlingen, van zeer intens, misschien overdreven, tot allicht verstrooid...

Hi Henk,
I like the different expressions on the boys' faces. I like the colors, i like the light. I also like the composition. I like the steam of the incense and i like the statue's hand.
I think i used as simple an English as i could, without polluting my lines with literature. Just for you...
Cheers,
Deniz

Hello, Henk!
My friend took me to Rishikesh on Mar 20 and 21 especially to see the Ganga Arati (he was playing the flute during the ceremony and me - just watching and listening). I couldn't make such nice pics as yours so it is a real joy to find them here.
Best regards,
Katya

Fantastic, Henk!
I feel like being there, inhaling the smoke and
chanting/praying with these kids.
Priceless face expressions.
Lovely reds and yellows.
Extraordinary atmosphere!
