Catalan Missiles Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is my second aportation to TE, based on the Catalan Modernisme. The shot was also taken in the Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona. This peculiar ornaments, covered by ceramica tiles, as the whole Hospital, gave me the impression of missiles pointing at the big blue sky.

Esta es mi segunda aportación a TE, basada en el Modernisme Català. La fotografía fue asimismo tomada en el Hospital de Sant Pau de Barcelona. Estos ornamentos, cubiertos por cerámica, como todo el conjunto de edifícios del Hospital, me produjeron la impresion de misiles apuntando hacia el vasto cielo azul.

At first, I thought they were minarets on a temple. The POV/composition is very aesthetical with beautiful colours and excellent sharpness.

Hello Alum,
an interesting image. An ascending subjects that is different and catchy to the eyes. a good perspective distortion. Good contrast with blue sky to enhance the brown image. Tree tops to kill the monotony of the subject and making it a good mmanipulation of POView.

Gran "ojo" has tenido para esta foto muy impresionante! Una toma muy representativa del modernismo Catalan, en encuadre y la perspectiva estan perfectos, asimismo el manejo de la luz y los. Muy buen campo de profundidad, casi todo esta enfocado, en conclusion una foto de la altisima calidad! Felicidades!

Hola Felip,
m'agrada molt el Modernisme català, i Barcelona n'és el referent, amb meravelloses obres com la que ens mostres aquí. M'agrada el pla tancat centrant l'atenció en aquests pinacles ornamentals, amb gran definició per veure'n els detalls, i l'enquadrament amb la seva perspectiva en diagonal, que té un fort grafisme. El símil amb míssils és encertat.

Bom detalhe destas quatro ornamentos de cerâmica vermelha fazem um belo contraste com o céu azul , bons detalhes, gostei da foto na vertical , parabéns!!

Very good pov on that part of architecture from that hospital. The photo is very wll composed with the "missile" from the bigger to the smaller.
Very good sharpness to appreciate the place, i like the red colors contrasting with the blue sky in background.

Very interesting zoom on the spires & crop as well. The realisation is perfect against the clear blue sky. The title is humourous & very appropriate :-) The glazed tiles on them, make them shine. I told you before I like these types of compos. & I love this work. Well done!

However I allow myself to suggest you a light under exposure for the lasts pictures posted, perhaps my screen is too clear.

Ces missiles en terre sont assez amusants. J'aime les couleurs et l'alignement de ces engins comme pour une démonstration de puissance d'un royaume imaginaire dans un conte de fées.
