Photographer’s Note
Thousand and thousand devotees crossing here the inner core of the Golden Temple of Amritsar from dusk to down and the whole night throug, to catch a glimp of the Holy Worship to the Ten Saints who brought the finest elements of all religions together in their Holy Spirit with the highest values of tolerance and understanding equal to all.
And indeed this fine attitude is everywhere present here, the guard of the temple helping me to avoid taking a photo aside and at the same giving a small book to show his understanding for my interest, he even allowed me his portait in front of the temple ... so this view is taken from outside in to the inner core out of respect not to disturb the Holy Mood here at 20:20 evening.

Hello Henk,
Your sort of forbidden view ;) gives us a good sense of the number of devotees. I like the colors and details. Well composed.

This is a sparkling image Henk!
What a crowd, what a full image, everywhere is full of details, heads, turbans, veils, each of them in different colors, dominated with that shine of gold.
I can imagine you lift up your camera and take a "stolen" shot of that "hidden moment". Wide angle makes your composition even more confusing. But the gaze, which is the focus of the photo, is very well captured. I think you were very lucky to have him looking at you.
Best wishes from a sunny Istanbul...

Hi Henk.
Can you imagine this very photo without that man looking at us?
I cannot do it.
It isn't an easy photo but you made it very well and also you made a very smart work.
Regards.

Hoi Henk,
Heel mooi om te zien hoeveel volk daar is! Devote blikken in de ogen. Ja, dit zijn van die momenten waar fotografie er net iets minder toe doet en je gewoon het gevoel ter plekke moet opzuigen. Mooi.
Groeten!

Henk,
I dare to say this is your best photo lately and a rare
one of its kind.
Beautiful melange of golden and reds with so many people
crammed together and populating you busy frame.
Having in mind your use of f/2.8, I appreciate focusing
on the person with pinkish turban looking straight into
your lens and breaking this otherwise perfect candid
shot just for a moment.
Absolutely great scene!

Hi Henk!!
a picture full of light, golden light!!
Everybody is going towards the inner core of the Golden temple, only one man is looking at your camera!|This is strongly capturing the eye, and the photo is more rich and more interesting, in my opinion.
Thank you (and to Mr Chanjit!) for sharing such a Temple!

Amazing level of Energy emanating here...
So criss-crossing yet falling in a interesting pattern.
I really am jealous of that privilege you get being a foreign born!.. ;))
The wide angle is great choice here.
Thanks,
Prem.
