Photographer’s Note
Middelgrunden Wind Turbine Cooperative
"The shallow area of Middelgrunden is situated East of the northern tip of Amager. Here 20 wind turbines are installed in a slight curve with 180 metres distance and a total length of 3.4 kilometres. The total area is about 1 hectare. The curve draws a continuation of Copenhagen’s structure, which has the shape of a superellipse represented by Vestvolden, Parkbuen and Ring road 2.
The total effect of the wind farm will be 40 MW. The twenty 2000 kW turbines have a total estimated electricity production of about 89,000,000 kWh per year. This means that approximately 3% of the electricity consumption within the municipality of Copenhagen can be covered by these wind turbines."

What a striking contrast! Straight lines and sea fluctuations, immensity and color shades, nature and industry, tranquility and power, progress and ecological concerns...
Stroboscopy might also have been a rather adequate title, though I like the sobriety and the explicitness of the one you chose!
I just created a new theme, Exploring shapes and colours. Would you like to participate with this picture?
This invitation may not be quite formal, but we've all got to start somewhere, somehow... ;-)

Just one word : EXCELLENT !
Simple but effective composition, monochromic blue color, good light, that's pure graphism how I like, thank you Morten !

Great photograph. The blue tones are seizing. Very, very nice, the conjunction of shapes and graphical dynamism.

Excellent compositon and colours. Very artistic. That is not what you expect to see when looking out over the ocean.
A nice contrast between pure nature and the science of man.
Great capture!

Simple, effective and beautiful composition in blue. Very good use of empty space in th etop of the frame. Wonder how it would be though if you could slow down the shutter a bit just to get some hint of movement on the wings of the windmills... just a thought.

Nice composition and study in blue - thanks for sharing.

Spectacular, only windmills, water and sky,
great and peaceful "man and nature" scene with good blue-tones

Wow. The big blue, -this was good. The perfect nature in contrast with the cold human made steel ballet. Dancing on the surface.

These turbines are an impressive sight. Similar to how the ones I photographed in Iowa rise from a sea of corn these rise from an actual sea. And this gives it a really futuristic look and feel. Especially these crisp colors. I like the wide feel of the shot, too, as the eye moves across the turbines. Perhaps a bit of a crop, removing some off the bottom would help. Perhaps at half the distance between the towers and current bottom. Just to focus a bit more on the towers and sky and this clean, futuristic, sky has no limits, feel. Very good job.

These windmills add an abstract quality to your photo. The different shades of blue are just great!

Nice color and exposure. The color is nice, i like the blue in sky, and deep blue in sea.
I watch a documentary film about these wind turbines field in Discovery Channel.
