He looks like my brother, hooked nose, ugly miserable etc etc etc
Actually its part of a medieval stain glass window in the church at Wimpole. Dating from around the 14th century apparently this is one of the Ufford family mug shots. They were the earls of Suffolk and such
They did them in coloured glass then not on cellulose that hadn't been invented. Just thought I'd tell you that in case you didn't know.

Hahhaha. Hi Simon! I just expect you and your brother don't have a family air ;-) This is a very fine portrait, but what I like most is the B&W face, jumping out among the colours. Good hand and good exposition (unless conditions were excptional, it's usually difficult to shoot stained glass windows and do it well).
