Photographer’s Note

Queen’s View on Loch Tummel is probably one of the most famous views in Perthshire. It even has its own visitor’s centre. Many people think it was named after Queen Victoria when she visited with John Brown in 1866, although others think it was named after Queen Isabella, wife of Robert the Bruce.

We had to stand and wait for ages for the sun to come out and by the time it did we were frozen. On a clear day you can see the mountains around Glen Coe in the west. Under the cloud in the middle of the scene is Schiehallion, which I told you about in my previous post, but today its characteristic point is hidden. The island closest to the foreground is the same one you saw here

Help needed
I had trouble uploading this, as yesterday I installed Capture NX, and even though this was processed before with PS, TE wouldn't accept it for upload saying "jpeg files only allowed". (of course it is a jpeg)I have uninstalled NX and removed all related files I can find, but TE still won't accept the upload. I finally e-mailed it to my laptop and uploaded it from there. Any suggestions for getting TE to accept files from my desktop again??

I have the solution thanks to Pat (plimrn). Anyone with the same problem see here

I would like to wish all TE members a Happy Christmas
