Photographer’s Note

Very early on the coast of Ko Yao Noi, a little island not far from Phuket.

The island of Yao is made up of both Ko Yao Yai (Big Long Island) and Ko Yao Noi (Little Long Island). With a total size of 137 sq. km, these islands are covered by forests, beaches and rocky headlands with views of the surrounding karst formations characteristic of Ao Phang-Nga.

Very nice job on this panoramic photo. These southeast Asian soft skies are very mysterious and their muted colors are a photographer's delight. This is a beautiful, tranquil shot and I like the way that your composed this one. Well done!

Hi Nina,
What amazing light and colours which has created an image full of atmosphere. I love the depth in the photo, created by the variations in silhouetted colour tones.....the more muted tones of the distant mountains with the bolder tones of the closer rocky outcrops. The boat and line of poles are perfectly positioned in the shot. Exceptional. Well done.
