Photographer’s Note
Walking around the shoreline of Derwentwater one morning, I noticed that the thin veil of mist which had surrounded me only minutes before, had cleared to all but the far end of the lake as the power of the sun burnt it off. What had been a frosty, misty morning, was now turing into a glorious calm sunny day.
Levels adjusted and dust spots removed, but flare left in as I think it adds to the shot.

Beautiful picture. The composition is great. I think a shot w/o the edge of the lake would look interesting as well. Seeing all that water w/o the pebbles might create an even more serene atmosphere.

Hi Alex,
Beautiful picture with a particular ambience given by the morning light. The depth of field is perfectly managed in order to give clear details from the foreground to the background. The exposure is also well managed despite very difficult conditions caused by the front sun light. Very well done!
