Dances with Clouds Photo

Photographer’s Note

Just a moment of loneliness there on a forgotten beach of Soulac at the end of this afternoon of summer.

Wind was cold, some clouds to hide the sun and let temperature drop down in order to empty this place of its occupiers.

Still there with my camera (and a sweatshirt on my shoulders) I was becoming more and more happy at the sight of remaining the only one at this moment.

Then I could shout to my friends the clouds "Please dance with me, and I will show you on TE!"

Hi David. This is a shot that would look wonderful whether in colour or B&W - but I like B&W best at the moment. Fantastic contrast between the sharp, choppy sea and the balooning clouds. Wonderful high contrast and excellent lighting overall. A real gem. Regards, Paul.

Bonjour David,
Bien vu le choix du noir et blanc, car je pense qu'avec le contre-jour la photo n'aurait pas été percutante en couleurs. En noir et blanc, elle est très convaincante. Le cadrage est soigné, le côté graphique avec ces nuances de gris très intéressant. Du bel ouvrage !

Composition atmospherique ultra contrastée...le paysage s'y prête plutot bien avec ce ciel dramatique,c'est limite surrealiste,

great black to white contrasty shot with saturation where it should be without blocking out the details
the wave detail is good and adds some action right at the correct spot

je suis très impressionné par ce style et cette qualité de photo sur le plan technique.
Les contrastes poussés à l'extrème et les détails parfaits , boostés par la traitement BW , si efficace dans ces cas là.
