Photographer’s Note
On my trip through the Danube Delta I was fascinated by the size of the dragonflies, and the multitude of colors in which they came. Unfortunately, I had a small point-and shoot camera, which would not focus correctly at macro level, unless the background was more or less uniform... So in order to capture this one, with the fine details of the wings, I had to shoot it against the water, a choice dictated more by need than by intention :(

Hello, Tudor -
This is a very nice composition, I assume hand-held (we could use the technical data), taken under difficult conditions. The dragonfly dominates the center and right, while the branch provides a good diagonal. I would have preferred a less muddy background, but one works with what one has.
Nice second dragonfly off on the edge, too!
Regards,
Dan
