I think that if you decreased the brightness and perhaps boosted the contrast just a bit you would get richer colors. Any story behind why this guy is all dressed up?

Very nice, clean close-up with the interesting juxtaposition of the weathered stone and bright new fabric. I think this shot is just a tad bit overexposed, so you might bring it down in Photoshop. Othwise fine. I agree with Bob that this shot is begging for a story so we know what's behind this dressed up statue.
