Photographer’s Note
Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor) seen at dusk from Sugarloaf mountain.
The statue is most impressive seen from afar in my opinion. This way you appreciate its altitude and impressive placement overlooking the city. You can see it from most places in Rio. Seeing it close up is a slight disappointment due to the zoo one encounters at it's base. Even in August it was incredibly full of tourists. The view would be amazing if the city wasn't so polluted and hazy. If you're only going to ascend either Sugarloaf or Corcovado, I'd go with Sugarloaf.

Hello James!
I liked that scenary! By the way, I like both which you have mentioned, Corcovado and the Sugarloaf, too. I like Rio, anyway!
