Photographer’s Note
Union Station, Toronto.
Shot in the early morning outside Toronto's rail hub, Union Station. It's a busy part of town and a torrent of people were rushing out of the station towards the endless office towers just a block north. But through it all this one guy stood utop a short flight of steps, waiting calmly.

Cool stuff, Alex, man, this one really rocks. Even the flaredown the center seems to play a role. It frankly deserves a great deal more commentary though, but hey, there you are. Good work and have a nice weekend,

Hi Alex. A pretty effective shot here and some post processing which I think fits the look of the shot quite well. Personally, I would have dropped a very light colored layer over the image (most likely a warming filter in PS) to make the whites not quite pure white and I wouldn't mind seeing the blacks loosened up just a bit, but the heavy contrast does fit the composition quite well. I like how the handrail on the right leads us into the shot. Nice one.

When I view your pictures I really imagine them being printed out large on a wall, theres just that classic feel to them. Some great extremes in lighting which work well together, especially with the chap in the middle of the washed out background.

How often we use (quite idiotically) the words:POV ?
How many times we suppose to use them ?
That's the time !
Righteously, properly used, great POV...
There...You have it !
POV, presentation, class - like no other in sight.
Stay visible, Alex.

Man Alex...something pulses in this shot. Not sure if it is the repetition between the poles...or the birds flying above...or...a combination of all of those elements. The mottled(spl?) lighting is also outstanding. The high contrast is right to my tastes...the bright sky really serves well in this shot to outline your subject and add some drama to an everyday scene...
I don't disagree with anything you've done here.
Chris.
