I decided to go back to a location near my house where I often go when I am short on time. Nothing really original but when the light is good I am still happy with the results I am getting

As you note this is not particularly original. But, man, it is nicely done. Colors are subtle yet vivid. The compo has detail yet perspective. Flawless execution!
Best,

Every sunset is an original.
Great perspective, use of wide angle. Vertical was the right choice.

Hi Pat,
I discovered your amazing gallery (and the website) as soon as I took up photography and became a member in February, but you haven't posted anything since july, 2006. I thought you probably never would. I'm glad that one of the photographers in my favourite list is active again. This one is not one of your most impressive maybe, but in terms of quality, POV and depth, it is perfect. The cold colours of the foreground gradually turns to warm evening shades in the bg. Lovely!
Regards and welcome back.

Bonjour Pat,
la note ne dit pas si c'est un lever ou un coucher de soleil mais la composition est superbe, beau jeu de luminosité dans les nuages et en reflet dans l'eau. Beau travail

Hello Pat,
What calm water. One rarely sees that here. A lovely and tranquil scene. TFS.

Don't you think that your best shots are taken in places that you know best ? This place isn't dramatical or surprising, but composition, sharpness and light make the photo excellent.
