Photographer’s Note
Built in 1919, the Frigo Building, initially a refridgerated warehouse, was occupied some twenty years ago by a population of artists, craftsmen and creators who transformed it into a hundred of workshops, theaters, music and photography studios, giving a new birth to this spot that history had doomed to coldness and boredom...
Today a property of the Paris city Coucil, in the heart of the Paris left bank project, the Frigos remain, as a vestige of a long gone freedom. Surrounded by a huge movie theater complex (MK2 cinemas), the French National Library (Très Grande Bibliothèque), the Batofar (a boat housing a restaurant and a dance floor), it is no longer the only place in this area abandonned for a long time to take up the cultural challenge.
The place is covered with beautiful and very graphical grafittis. Look at this poor artist just about to be devoured by this grafitti...;-)

Choix du titre parfait aussi.

hi eric,
hope you warned the poor guy and at the end he did survive...:-))
perfect exploration of the colours and graphism of the place... like it a lot as it shows us how creatively one can use the "artwork" to the advantage of photography...you have to be patien, and wait for the proper guy to come to the place as a victim...:-))
best wishes, j.

I'm always facinated by grafitti art, although I don't like to see it on the very ancient old buildings. This is really an impressive picture with an interesting title. Great colors, very vivid. TFS

Haha, nicely spotted and framed, that's a whole explosion of colour there.

Hello Eric
Oh Yes! very well seen.
Very good that the man is not dressed in bright colours. The contrast between him - very sober - and the exuberant man-eating graffiti is very enjoyable.
Best Wishes Maggie

Salut Eric,

Hi Eric,
Colourful scene and creative use of graffiti. Interesting place, seems like a forgotten corner but nearby more busy area, maybe used as a shortcut by many.

hi there, always a pleasure going through your gallery. it is quite inspiring, and i like finding pictures, like this one, that i can look at for minutes, discovering all the little details. anyway, really good timing, i love the colors, the two facial expressions (or three, if counting the small graffiti on the neck of the carnivore guy on the wall...), and well, i like all of it.
