Day 17 - Mono Lake Photo

Photographer’s Note

Other very famous place in California. Mono lake and its "tuffas" taken during sunrise. There was much photographer that were waiting the sun, you have to wake up very early to get a good place. Characteristics of this lake are very interesting. Many TE's members describe it with accuracy and correct English ;-). Once again a very beautiful place for photographers. I tried to use symmetry and reflection to compose my picture. I think that this photo will be better in panoramic size but i prefer upload original shots on TE.

Hi Pierre,
I was just at Mono Lake last month. While I saw many great photos (postcards mostly) of the place, I could not get any good photos of it. Partly because I was there around noon when the sun is harsh.
It's photos like yours that make me really believe the light makes half of the picture. The calmness of the lake makes for good reflection.
I would definitely like to see it in panoramic!
