Photographer’s Note
Here's an aerial shot of Tokyo. It was taken through the window of the observation deck of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building ('Tocho' for short).
I cleaned the window to begin with, then mounted the camera on a small, flexible tripod. Next step was to compose the shot. Then I set the timer, pressed the button and covered the camera with my jacket to prevent excessive reflection from the internal lights.

Dan,
Outstanding night photo! You managed to capture the blue hour nicely blending the natural light with the artificial lighting in the city. The colors and details are fine with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Hi,
Good night shot, especially considering the circumstances that you describe. Almost too much detail for this small format. Great feeling of space and distance. Thanks.
Dougie.

Beautiful shot. i have very similar shot from that building. But I must admit that your shot is far better with more lights and sharpness.
