Photographer’s Note
Good Afternoon Trek Earth Friends..:o)
Today brings me to show you another photo from my journey with my husband on his ship the MVALGOLAKE.
At this time we were entering Hamilton Harbor , coming My Husband calls in to alert the bridge keeper that we are indeed coming an hour before and then 1 mile from the piers so that he has time to stop the traffic and raise the bridge. There are actually two bridges here one lift bridge which raises and the other is the QEW ( Queen Elizabeth Way) Which is Canadas verison of an interstate. Once the ship is clear of the bridge , the keeper will lower the bridge and salutes are given both by the bridge and the ship. Normally there are people down on the piers in good weather to watch the ship traffic or to fish. The ship is carrying close to 30,000 tons of coal to unload at a steel plant in the harbor.

Le ciel parsemé de nuage donne une perspective génial a l'image, l'entrée dans la baie, depuis la passerelle du navire, géniale.

Hi Donna,
Tremendous depth achieved as we look straight across the deck of the massive boat and it lines up with the opening under the bridge. Beautiful blue sky and very clear details to the ship and the bridge.

Hi Donna. You have the exceptional privilege of such an exclusive pov. It all looks rather narrow to manoeuver into. Good colours and beautiful "cottonball clouds" (just made that up...)

Hi Donna,
A good POV from aboard the ship, making us feel as if we were also on board! Good depth and pespective, colors and sharpness are fine... it may be a little dark, but no major issue there!
Have a nice day!

Hello Donna,
Maybe a ship doesn't meet the worst of weather on the lakes but for sure some challenges still!
This is a fine composition with good lead-in lines (ha!), rich colours and an attractive sky!

Hello Donna,
Bien vu !

Hi Donna
A good view of the canal in front. I could somehow feel what it is like to be at the helm of this ship. Unlike cars the nose or the bow is so far upfront. Nicely captured Donna. You should have a Travelog on all these pics.
best regards

Hello Donna,
Great perspective looking along the deck of this massive ship through the two piers to the bridge beyond. The cloudy sky adds much to the atmosphere. Good colours and sharpness.

You have a unique opportunity to show us these photos. I assume you took this from the bridge of the ship. It is an excellent view from on high with the ship alligned with the jetties. You had a good sky too.

this is a splendid view . from the spot you have taken the photo, the viewer finds himself in ambiguity if the height of the bridge is fine enough for the ship , neverminding the distance . also a good example to demonstrate carriage of bulk freight on waters

Hello Donna! I can´t resist to this beautiful and well polarized sky! And the POV is very nice, with the good idea to include the ship's bow. I also like the symmetry. Well taken!
Cheers!
