Photographer’s Note
Ahhh, not a bad life - to live in the yorkshire dales and go for afternoon drives with your wife in a classic car.
This happened so many times on my bike trip around the "settle loop" - being passed by a classic car coming around one beautiful turn after another.
I used the history brush (50% opacity linear burn on the sky, 20 % opacity color dodge on the car).

hello Alan,
excellent image. I like your capture of these people tootling along in an almost comical, Bertie Woosterish kind of way. Or could that be Toad of Toad Hall? peep! peep!

Cette rutilante automobile ancienne est superbement mise en valeur dans ce splendide paysage.

Hi Alan.
The POV chosen for this shot is very nice because it allows us to enjoy the beautiful countryside as well as the beautiful vintage Mercedes. The light light natural and nicely managed.
The only "negative" point is that this picture could have been posted in a much larger size on TE!
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Alan,
It's pity indeed the shot is not a bit bigger, however it is still very nice, with great depth of field enhanced by soft curve of the road.
The sky, so cloudy, is really impressive and the old, well-kept car gives a nostalgic touch to this scene.

Hi Alan, I think the posting could of been a little bigger, however you have composed the shot superbly, with the beautiful old car (my dream) driving to the bottom corner, the depth created by the road is excellent, the colours are very good & good light, it is a super photo & I hope it gets the credit it deserves, kind regards Wilson.

Alan,
The classic English image (except it's not raining). Even the (more or less) square format adds to the traditional atmosphere of this shot.

Once again your lighting is very good. I love the placement of the car in the photo as well as the stonewall. The sky is once again very dynamic. I love the colors of the car too as they really contrast against the overall image. Your color representation is fantastic.

Nice shot Alan! It's just so quintessentially British that it almost feels like a pastiche. I love the strong clouds, and the dry stone walls, about the only thing missing is a cobbled street ;)
I'd consider a B&W conversion based on the red channel for this one I think; the old school feel of the image seems almost out of place in colour.
There are a couple of blown out patches in the clouds, but they're not major; they're easily fixed with a low opacity clone tool though, if you feel so inclined.
I also think ideally the car should be slightly further left than it is, but only slightly.
Overall a very nice shot :D
