Winter swell Photo

Photographer’s Note

After 16 months we have some good sizeable waves in the 3-10 meters and on this day the light was just perfect.I have been trying to use full frame phots without any cropping or any colour ajustments.Out of 600 frames i have three good shots!If you want the sharpest wave shots you have to set the camera to were you think the wave will break at its best without any panning.

What a fabulous wave!! The image has a real feeling of natural power and dynamism...as if the wave itself is for a moment, solid, liquid and gas all in one go. I love the knife-edge effect at the far right of the pic, too. A real rip-curl.
