Photographer’s Note
Hi dear TE friends
Place: Lisbon, Nations Park, Portugal.
Theme: Nations Park / Meeting Point!
To see: map view
A rainy day like this one is very unsual because i'ts Lisbon in June. Sometimes this area is under an anticyclone from Açores archipelago and Lisbon is very sensible by the Atlantic ocean edge location. However it does not occur many times.
This picture was taken at "Parque das Nações" - a pleasent place in the city - . When we look to the picture we may ask: "Where are the family and their lunch?". I think the main theme seems to be a kind of minimalist composition, a strong and shady sky, rebel waters in contrast with a rock furniture inviting people to sit, rest or just staying to fix the horizont. That's what happen almost every weekend, local and foreign people come to aprreciate this pleasent place.
Parque das Nações is located in the North edge of Tejo river. There you can find a lot of different gardens, restaurants, pubs and one of the biggeste aquariums in the word - Vasco da Gama aquarium.
Finally, if you visit Lisbon don't miss Parque das nações, your girlfriend or boyfriend would like it for sure.... This place is excellent for romance!
Obs: To the background can observe the Vasco da Gama Bridge.Vasco da Gama is the largest bridge in Europe with a length of 17.2 km (10 miles)
I hope you guys like it.
Thanks,Nuno Valério

Hi Filipe.
A very good shot this one. I like this central composition and the lanscape. I love colors that we use to get on this type of rainy days, because the sky use to gives the picture a dramatic effect and colors on the rest are special, likein your picture. The same photo is totally different on a rainy day.
This famous bridge, helps very well to composition. Thanks for this nice work friend, and best regards.
Angel.

Salutations

Is nowhere sacred from this horrendous June weather!? I thought southern Europe would be faring better.
Well composed scene where the diagonal of the railings take us almost to the start of the bridge. There is something satisfying about the geometry of the seating area. Just a slight tilt on the horizon, otherwise a good shot.

Ola Filipe,
It looks like Lisboa does not manage to escape the november weather currently sitting on most of Europe ! there's a good graphical potential in this table and chairs, well complemented by the background bridge graphism.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Filipe,
You've managed to catch a real feeling of isolation in this one with the empty table, foreboding sky and bridge leading off into the expanse.A very nice composition and you handled the difficult light very well.Nice to see you....take care.

Very nice. The composition of the striped chairs and table and the use of the background with the superb clouds.

Bonjour Filipe

Gran foto! Gracias.
Un saludo,
Angel.

Hi Filipe,
I like the minimalistic look you have here and topped of by that threatening sky you create a very interesting look.
By looking at the points this picture received compared to your other picture I take it that most people love the more traditional pictures.
Thanks for sharing this particular one.

Hello Filipe,
I like this photograph very much, especially the compostion with the sea and the bridge (or at least I think it´s a bridge) in the background. It must be a perfect place for an afternoon relaxation, eventhough it looks a bit deserted and gloomy in the photo.
Thanks for sharing,

Really like the calm transmitted by the photo, as if suggesting that time does stop in the this area. Great shot, wonderful composition. Maybe you could notice the halo surrounding the tree leafs, and some white areas bellow some of the segments of the bridge; a little touch to make it perfect. Moreover, if you retouch the sky with burn i think that it would even increase the impact!!

Hello Filipe
you've managed to take advantage of this cioncrete furniture to produce a very graphic and fascinating composition. The geometric interactions betweenthe stripes, the bridge pilars have a lot of impact. This is the kind of photograph which is a perfect starting point for a novel or a short story.
Thanks for sharing
