Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken at Dyffryn Gardens in South Glamorgan. I cropped the photo for a better composition, applied some sharpening and set the hue levels on +4 to get some of the blue sky to stand out.(if its the right thing to do).....The story of Dyffryn estate dates back to the 7th century A.D. when the then Manor of Worlton was given to Bishop Oudoceous of Llandaf. In the 16th century the manor was acquired by the Button family and the first house was built. The family occupied the estate for a number of generations and it is said that they still do to this day as the ghost of Admiral Sir Thomas Button haunts the grounds of the estate.

Jannie, I like the photo although it needs brightening and a little of the foreground cropping. Isn't it a pity that we have marvellous buildings and scenery in the Uk but not enough decent weather with which to show them off properly. You don't say anything about the building in your notes. Do you know what it is used for? Doreen
ps have just added a photo of mine which seemed pretty flat so I adjusted the monitor which improved it. So I thought I would return to this one and sure enough it has gained some brightness.

This is a nice photo. The idea is excellent. Britain and its weather is the culprit here. A bit of sun would just make this sing. You can rotate CCW slightly to get your verticals upright. I wrote to Davecall hw to do it, usung the crop tool. ALso, I think if you play in levels, and make this slightly lighter, and the hue/saturatio, quite high, then contrast lightness, then reduce to size anf then unsharp mask. Try soft light as you fade it, and this picture will improve.
So, the basci concept is great, the time of day did not help you. BTW, the central positioning works well here.

Like I said, I can`t miss this one either. Also very nice capture, nothing wrong with this.
I do not understand where the others are with their comment for this very nice photograph. Good centered, simple but good framed with a useful note.
Well done Jannie.
