a Hong Kong showflat with TV in bed Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is not the most exciting of photos but it finishes off my small series of shots showing 'daily life' in Hong Kong - and links back to my photo conspicuous consumption and tiny flats, which was taken from outside this building.

This photo was taken inside a showflat in a residential block in North Point - although I actually had to stand outside the flat to take the shot.

The flat was quite small, for a family of 4, but I did like the idea of TV in bed!

Here we can see the living room and 2 bedrooms. The bathroom was behind the TV and the kitchen was behind the front door.

Now this is really in the TE spirit that I remember, and an expert shot that might have come out of a property catalogue, maybe you could get an assignement :-)

So are you thinking of moving?

Hi Andrew,
Not bad at all for a hotel suite... But for an everyday house???!!! :-( You managed to shot it greatly, showing it very well, and the compo and lighting are actually very nice, making the photo much fitting to figure in a commercial pamphlet or website or someone who want to rent or sell one of those flats.

Hi Andrew, Indeed an expert interior shot, full of interesting and significant details - the cramped space, each room its own airco unit, the international style of interior decoration. Together with the two other shots they paint a fascinating picture of Hong Kong suburban life. I hope you'll expand the series!
