Photographer’s Note
Brands love them or hate them they dominate cities. On huge billboards, plastered across t-shirts and emblazoned on bags. There is no escape. People seem to be drawn to there mystical marketing prowess. Taken at the famous Shibuya crossing in Tokyo.

Hello Peter
The amount of brands in this photo is just overwhelming.
The quality of the photo is good, maybe a bit dark at times but the highlight of the girl with the bag in the foreground is great.
Thank you for sharing.

Fill in flash is something I'm missing in TrekEarth, it can tremendously empower street pics, though nobody dares pulling out his flash.. probably because it's somethng quite difficult to tame at first hand, at the risk of getting back the red eye/black background syndrom.
Just imagine that scene without the fill in flash technique, I guess there would be something mundane, I wouldn't look more than two seconds at. Add some artificial light, and there we are walking along the streets, with the flow of passersbys.
We definitely need more fill in flash.. perhaps a half stop less exposure for your background would have been even more spectacular.

Hello Peter,
Great wide angle shot to get so much activity into the one composition. Once again your colours are great and you have captured a great scene of every day life in Tokyo. Thanks for sharing,
Jules

Very successful shot in every way, peter, including Luko's famous fill-flash (quite right too). Did you get this one off whle we were momentarily separated and you were lost for a while there?
Brilliant shot,
Francis

Your picture prove the omnipresence of the brands in city life, thanks to the wide angle,I'm surprise your flash could cover a so large angle (probably 12mm?)...very good use of it,and just right timing...half a second later and the bag on the left disappear,
good job,
vincent

A great shot, Peter. It conveys the bustle on the street, a good use of the flash as well. I like this style. Amazingly well composed actually, I guess you kneeled down to take the shot? One of the very successful street shot. Bravoo!

there is certainly something furachanesque here Peter. And you have easily used the title "With her head in the Clouds...."
Great street photography with a twist

Hi peter,
I like your use of the fill flash. I have yet to try this out on the streets. I like the busy feel tokyo you captured. The adverts & of course her paper bag with all the important names on it. You captured the sky nicely & even the LED billboards which can be a challenge with the brightness.
Cheers,
Brian
