Photographer’s Note
The next shot from the Sanja Matsuri. With their shoes tied they lift the Mikoshi ,small carriages used to carry deities, and wait for the signal to parade them around the surrounding streets of the Asakusa Shrine. The festival draws many tourists and TE members! Two points for anyone who can identify the TE member in this photo!!

oh man, wish that white-t-shirted woman had not been there blocking quite a part of image, and in fact - THE part...
other than that - it is a clever composition "forcing" us to put ourselves into the man's shoes and seeing the place through his eyes...
nice one,
best wishes, j.

Yep, great POV here, a sophisticated half tunnel shot, Peter and we can see ole Lauryn there in her T-shirt on the left. Super shot, simply from the way you've set it up alowing the eye to enter the scene.
Fine work,
Francis

What are you talking about...I was carrying the carriage!! (*joke*)
I was peeking in TE from my office and I had to say something on this one. Unique perspective, it leads our eyes to the deepest of the shot, quite clever composition, Peter! I didn't know you were taking a photo back behide me. Yea, it should be the moment I took the shot

Hey Peter
Nice wide angle and very sharp. Dig the way you are shooting through the people, using the guy on the right to and zig to frame the Mikoshi. Godo work. Anyhow well done.

LOVE this composition, Peter, wild and complex, the man's head in the front is a fine element that anchors it. Wonderfully seen, technically quite tough to do but you pulled it off marvellously.
take care,

Great vision and perspective on this one, as if see through the mans eyes. Shame about the woman in the forground of the shot.

Great shot Peter!! The FG face is a great element here. I see you are shooting with that wide angle, and That allowed you to get right in on top of the guy. Great split of the frame, great action.
About the Saturday, yeah Im free..Ill probably be buying my lens then if Ben can come out.

Hey Peter,
Your series from Sanja Matsuri is very good overall. You're using some very popular POV's, like most of the pro's nowadays :) You got close and you show the action, that's really good!
By the way - how's that Tokina 12-24? I was about to buy it but I still don't know if it's worth it. What is it like when compared to Nikkor?
Best
