Photographer’s Note

Hi dear TE friends

Place: Lisbon, Nations Park, Portugal.

Theme: Pavilion of Knowledge Science/forms crystalline

This photo shows an angle of the entrance of this building, where we can see discontinued spurts of water. Together they from a kind of dance in a Crystalline Choreography. Can you see in the first angle photo, the water forming an image of a Sea Horse.
This place is very appreciated by children who play between the water shots, trying not to get wet. I, personally can assure you when summer’s high, near 35ºc, there’s nothing like a good exterior baht of this shots of water, and the best thing that’s 100% free, no need to pay.

*The Pavilion of Knowledge - Ciência Viva is an interactive science and technology museum that has been open to the public since July 25th 1999. It is an integral part of the Ciência Viva Centres Network and serves as both the driving force and resource centre for this network.
The main objective is to stimulate scientific knowledge and promote scientific and technological culture among all citizens. The exhibitions and activities proposed allow visitors to explore many wide-ranging themes with interactive Exhibits, relaxing and having fun at the same time.

A foto mostra parte da entrada deste edifício, onde a espaços a agua sai em repuxo do chão formando coreografias diversas que por vezes formam figuras cristalinas, como se pode observar no primeiro plano da foto, o que parece ser um cavalo marinho. Sendo um espaço de brincadeira para crianças que tentam passar entre os repuxos sem se molharem.

Em workshop pode ver outra foto de ângulo diferente e mais aberto.

Hello filipe,
Funny this picture because the main place of my small city has also same water shots. And I'm not sure that kids try to move whithout being wet!. I'll try when sun will come back to post one of it.

a nice pause shot with all these fountains which looks like dancing ballerinas.The wall as background bring out the details of the fountains.The green sphere with the black lines balance your shot.Well done.

Excelente composição, Filipe. Ainda no fim de semana passado estive precisamente aqui a tirar umas fotos. Gosto bastante da maneira como congelaste a água e do resultado coreográfico, como sugerido no título, que me parece bem escolhido. Graficamente é uma imagem muito apelativa. O WS também está bom, mas gosto mais desta - é mais abstracta e permite dar mais asas à imaginação.

Olá Filipe,
Tenho ume foto desta zona precisamente aquando da participação na maratona fotográfica organizada pela EPAL, com uns miudos a passarem nos carrinhos pelo meio da água.
Gosto desta composição pela conjugação de linhas que se podem apreciar, as verticais das água, as horizontais formadas pelas linhas do edificio ao fundo, e das linhas arredondadas formadas pela bola do lado direito.
É interessante esta composição e diferente do trabalho que nos tens vindo a mostrar habitualmente.

Em relação a esta tua imagem, gosto bastante do momento que conseguiste captar, a água em movimento tem formatos realmente fabulosos! E lá consegui ver o cavalo marinho a que te referes na descrição! :)

Olá Filipe, voltaste de férias, mas ainda não postaste nenhuma foto das mesmas...
Eu gosto desta tua foto, mas gostaría muito mais se o fundo fosse outro. Este parece que dilui a "magia" da coreografia...
Claro que não podias fazer nada... :o)

L'eau bien "gelée" donne une très bel effet à cette photo. La boule idéalement placée dans la composition accroche bien l'oeil.

Está muito boa, principalmente pelo enquadramento, que aproveita muito bem o grafismo da arquitectura. Tendo apenas um objecto colorido, em termos de cor tb. está muito bem.
Olhando para ela, ocorre-me pensar se não seria possível e não se ganharia tendo mais repuxo. Mas está muito bem assim!

Ola Filipe,
They just rebuilt the "Place des Nations" in front of the United Nations building in Geneva with similar fountains annd yes, I confirm that kids love it, though my impression is that they are mostly trying to get wet rather than avoiding it! ;o)
I find these spurts of water veyr photogenic and even more so with that green round sculpture in the back. But my preference goes to your photo in the WS, because that dark diagonal line adds even more graphism to the composition.

bonita coreografía de los chorros verticales del agua, bien captada en tu foto, y con buen contraste con la esfera de color verde y las paredes del fondo.
El ángulo del WS nos ofrece una visión más completa y un buen grafismo del edificio y el cielo. Podía haber sido tu post principal también, porque es bueno.

Filipe, a velocidade 1/350s deu uma boa congelada no movimento porem nao completa. Ainda ha um pouco de movimento nesta agua e acredito que com ISO 80 e f/8.0 voce teria tido mais velocidade, talvez 1/500, para explorar este momento ainda melhor. A composicao com os repuxos em diagonal a esquerda e a esfera a esquerda ficou muito boa.

This is a nice study in line and shape in the building and ball offset by complete randomness in the shapes created by the water.
