Photographer’s Note
Hello everybody! I have been missing from TE for a long time, too long for my liking; but I was just too busy with work!...
My last posting concerned the wild flowers taken on our walk to the first round of presidential elections, on April 21st! The weather was absolutely gorgeous then, and remained so until May 7th.
Since then, it has been grey and wet everyday; so I thought of bringing out the garden flowers I took on the same walk as the wild flowers, in order to put a bit of brightness into our grey days.
I know you can probably find the same flowers in different parts of the world, but not in all parts of the world, and not necessarily at the same time! ( I received some photos taken in a Swedish garden near Stockholm last weekend, and it was funny to see the tulips that had just come out in bloom . Our tulips have been finished for over a month.)
Anyway, here is border of aubrietias, aubriette in French, aubrietia deltoidea in Latin. The name comes from the nature painter: Claude Aubriet who lived in the 17th century and was the official painter of Louis XIV 's gardens. The plant is of mediterranean origin. Bees are very fond of them.
In WS, Different spring flowers in various gardens.

Hi ML,
I missed you already ...
Nice little flowers, well colored. Perhaps you could have cropped some of the flowers in the background - they are too bright due to the sunlight. But the view from top is very good.

Salut Marie Louise,
your colours jump out of the capture. Very natural and very strong. The light impression is also good as we have darker and brighter parts. This light is here gone also, it is grey and cloudy, today with rain. But this helps for the garden that everything is growing to an ocean of green.

Hallo Marie Louise!
A beautiful one! These aubrieta in Germany are called Blaukissen (blue pillow) and this year they have bloomed here in march. Your photo show it in natural colours and I like especially the play of light and shadow between the blooms and leaves. Yes, that's spring indeed!
Greetings from thundery Germany!

Bonsoir Marie Louise,

Bonsoir, mon amie Marie-Louise,

Hi Marie Loiuse,
A very nice photo. A group flower like this could actually be quite difficult to capture. There are always some of the you have to crop, some of the might easily become blurred and with a dark background they also risk too be too bright. Here you have done a really good job. Great colours, very good sharpness and a very good POV. Have a nice week-end!
Cheers,
Ulf
