Photographer’s Note
I trekked in Sangla Valley in district Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh, India, in the summer of 1996 with a group of my school students.
In this picture, we are just approaching Chitkool -- the last frontier on Indo-Tibetan (now Chinese) border. Chitkool is located at the far end of Sangla Valley at an altitude of nearly 11000 feet. It is the last human habitation in the valley.
It is a lovely verdant valley through which flows the river Baspa seen in the picture.
It is a scanned image.

Hi Ram,
Beautiful shot. I love the composition here. The roads leads us nicely into the photo, and the people trekking give us a nice feel of the emensity of the mountains beyond. Nice job, thanks for sharing!

Hi Ram Ji,
Great landscape with perfect composition. Its a heaven for mountain lovers like me. Only problem is a white mark in the middle of sky. I haven't seen Indro's WS yet but hope he must have removed it.

Hello Ram,
An attractive landscape capture, well composed and with good lines!
Strong lead-in by the road, that takes me directly to the beautiful snow covered mountains...
Colours seem to have survived the years well!

Hello Ramji,
the framing is beautiful here. The snow capped mountain, the clay road and the river - everything are beautiful and just in perfect place. The road draws ones attention straight to the mountain. Nice composition.
