St Hubert Chapel of Amboise Castle Photo

Photographer’s Note

Here is a picture taken yesterday in the St Hubert Chapel of the castle of Amboise.

The royal Castle at Amboise is a castle located in Amboise, in the Indre-et-Loire département of the Loire Valley in France.

Built on a promontory overlooking the Loire River to control a strategic ford that was replaced in the Middle Ages by a bridge, the ccastle began this life in the eleventh century.

As a guest of the King, Leonardo da Vinci came to the castle of Amboise in December 1515 and lived and worked in the nearby Clos Lucé, connected to the château by an underground passage. Tourists are told that he is buried in the Chapel of Saint-Hubert, adjoining the Château, which had been built in 1491–1496.

Since 1840, the castle of Amboise has been listed as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. Today, the present "comte de Paris", descendant of Louis-Philippe king, repairs and maintains the castle through the Fondation Saint-Louis.

This shot has been made with my 10-20mm lens with 3 differents expositions shots at 800 ISO.

Voilà un cadrage bien pensé pour nous présnter cet intérieur et ces voutes, la photo est très équilibrée avec un bon effet de symétrie.

Very nice photo with excellent view on the very colorful leaded lights. The architecture is beautiful with so many details visible.
Well composed, did you hold the camera in your hand or did you use the ground or a tripod to get three exactly the same photo's?

le HDR fonctionne bien sur cette photo, les sculptures des piliers et du plafonds sont plus vrai que nature, et permet d'apprecier la riche architecture de cette chapelle.

J'aime beaucoup cette vue, peut-être un peu moins le traitement HDR qui pour être spectaculaire n'apporte à mon sens pas grand chose... Quoiqu'il en soit, c'est superbe.

Bonjour Yves,
voilà exactement comment il fallait prendre l'endroit et avec la bonne perspective. Quelques petits soucis dans l'exposition des vitraux, mais cela se comprend aisément, l'expo donne aussi la préférence aux structures intérieures des plafonds, ces derniers parfaitement exposés.

Superbe ce traitement !
Le résultat est parfait. Tout est parfaitement exposé. Les vitraux sont remarquables et se détachent parfaitement des ces vielles pierres.

Trés jolie vue du coeur je suppose. Les vitraux sont colorés mais laissent quand même passer pas mal de lumière. J'aime particulièrement les clés de voute, trés détaillées.

Un très bon pov et un traitement HDR qui fonctionne plutôt pas mal (même si c'est un peu extrême) pour avoir une compo assez rare et assez forte. C'est le vertige, le lyrisme qui se dégagent qui me plaisent le plus.
