Place : Castelo Novo, it is a Historical Village of Portugal
Region: Beira Baixa / Mountain of Gardunha (zone center of Portugal)
Theme:Castelo Novo, historical village (1202)
to see: map view
English
Portuguese
Dwellings and streets typically built in granitic stone.
Set in the superb amphitheatre formed by the Serra da Gardunha, Castelo Novo has some surprisingly beautiful manor houses that once belonged to the region's noble families.
Built in the 12th century but badly damaged by the earthquake in 1755, the castle was described as "new" (novo) because another one already existed in the immediate vicinity, having been abandoned because it was inadequate for the region's defence. This is how the village came to acquire the name of Castelo Novo,( New Castle).
I hope you guys like it.
*If your target is not our extraordinary beaches, you must visit our Historic Villages, for sure, you’ll not loose your precious time. There, you’ll find a sort of beauty natural stuff. All in all impossible to see in any other place in the world.

i think you put a bit too much sharpness,so there is some noise.

A roling stone gathers no moss, this alley did indeed, a very crispy edition maybe still a slight soft focus possible for screen, but perfect for printing as such. The curving perspective street takes us along the moss walls up to the stairs, well composed Filipe

Hi Filipe.
It's not so common to see a picture and say "wow, this is a picture I would have liked to capture!". And this one made this effect to me since I've seen the miniature. I like the central street with its beautiful stairways and the way it lead the eyes through the fantastic textures of the old walls. It inspired me a little ws, but it seems that you do not allow workshops?
It's really nice to discoveryour album. Thanks for sharing!

Hola Filipe.

Hi Filipe,
Your shot is a bit too sharp, but I do like this narrow old street with no sign of life. I imagine this place was once lively and filled with people. I also like how this slightly curved street ends up with stairs.

Olá Filipe,
A very beautiful street in this village. The picture is well detailed and very sharp. I really like this presentation of the street like it really is with the mossgreen walls and path and with the small plants on the wall (right side).
Best regards, Paul
