Photographer’s Note
Yesterday I was for few hours in Tsotili; it is a village in prefecture Kozani on the hilly region Voion.
You see here the new school and in the background a school- a boarding school in this village. The old one building is built between 1871-1874 with the economical support from the Macedonian fraternal association it had the residence in Constantinople-Istanbul.
Macedonia was still under the Ottoman rules; the old school was built to teach people-kids the Greek letterings, history and culture.
I have two friends they spent their gymnasium school time there in the old school.
Before few years I saw something like the history of the old one school and was written that kids from many regions from Greece finished the gymnasium-lyceum schools in this building.
It was a boarding school until about 20 years ago and now is a building for the municipal offices for the demos=burgh Tsotilion.
Since some decades the new one is the gymnasium and lyceum for the village kids.
I post it as a contrast between the two school buildings from different times.
If you want to see the old school full framed please visit ithere
I gave more sharpness and very little saturation.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi Evan,
Perspective and depth are very well, you chose a excellent angle also for taking of the buildings, colours are very soft, I think through the sharpness you get little bit noise in the sky, also no people in the street, exactly a ghost city, but a good picture.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice week,
John.

Yasu Evan,
Very beautifull perspective. Neat and clear photo, with nice details, and extraordinary clouds. The color also very nice. Xeretismata. Salvator.

Hello Evan,
The 19th century building seems to be preserved well and the new one does not look out of place. I too like the muted colors here, and the sky is not blown out. Thank you for the informative note.
Best wishes,
Hakan

Kalimera Vangelis,
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

good perspective and the purple/grey tones in the sky are appealing... a few people walking could have added a lot to the charm i think...
cheers

Hello Evan, my friend!
It's good you have payd attention to schools. I think it's typical for all balkan countries that the two biggest buildings in a village are the school and the church, though people in these days become less religious and less educated...
Your colours are remarkable. So is your focus.

Hi Evan,
Lovely angle to capture this unique architecture and giving your image fine diagonal depth.
The yellow facade goes well with the lovely silver blue sky.
I imagine many children were prepared well here to go out into life.
Regards, Tom
