Photographer’s Note
A wet & windy day today and I'm stuck indoors with a touch of cold.I wanted to take some shots so I ventured out between the showers to see what is in the garden.
Just a lonesome fly resting on a Peony Rose is all I spotted,so I took some shots. This I think turned out the best.I considered cropping a little bit tighter and maybe I should but I wanted to include the water drop.
ISO 200
Exposure time 1/201s
USM & Neatimage on the background.

Wow Andy this is a brilliant photo; even without the flower it would have been amazing. The detail on the fly is mind-blowing and the droplet in the bottom left-hand corner rounds it all off superbly. This pic deserves 10 out of 10, pity I can give it only 2. Fantastic!

Great macro Andy. Even the most common creatures are interesting - seen from the right angle. Lots of details and great contrast with the black fly aganist the red rose - very good job.

Excellent macro. You've made a good picture as it shows the contrast between the smooth petals and the spiny fly. I like the colors too.
