The Council Square
The Council Square, Piata Sfatului, was the meeting place of tradesmen from the Romanian provinces and Hungary with numerous permanent markets including the Oxen Market, the Horse Market, the Fish Market, the Linen Market, the Grain Market, and the Fruit Market. Mureşenilor Street, adjacent to the Town Square, was initially called the Monastery Street, taking its name from the Dominican monastery on its northern side. It was later called Customs Street, for the nearby Customs headquarters in the Gate Bastion at the end of the street. In the Middle Ages, this street was the main access way to the city for merchants and travelers coming from the other Romanian provinces and traveling towards Bran. Prior to entering the old city, Mureşenilor is called Strada Lunga, and remains the main access road into the old city.
Republicii Street, adjacent to the Town Square, was previously called Bucketers’ Street, referring to the large number of bucket makers located there. The street had a canal running through it designed to keep the city clean. The street ended in a gate – the oldest in the city – and from here began the road to Moldavia. Due to this gate, the street bore for a while the name of Purzengasse (Gate Street). The houses on this street were designed to be very strong, with wooden and tin shutters in case invaders somehow got through the Gate.
Brasov Tourism Guide
The picture was taken a few days after this one from a point located close to the right corner of the Town Hall (also as viewed from here).
The large Gothic building in the background (left) is the Black Church which was built during the 14.th and 15.th century. I will write more about it in one of my next posts when I'll show you a better view of this beautiful building. Here is just a view over the Black Church as seen from the Council Square. I hope you like it!

Good timing for the evening photo - both natural and artificial light is present. Low point of view makes the square look big.
The street light is too bright and is a bit distracting, but I think you couldn't do much about it.
Very informative note - I think it's an example how well written note should look like.

Nicely captured night shot with clear and crisp lines, and well balanced light. Nice composition, too. It's a pity though there are not so many people on this square that could make it appear full of life.

Très joli cliché nocturne agréable à regarder. La lumière bien gérée met en relief les bâtiments.
Merci pour le partage et bonne soirée.

Very nice night composition. Good placing of the lamp and its bright effect. Good picture.

Ta composition est superbe, et les couleurs magnifiques: en effet l'heure bleue fait un maximum ressortir les batiments
Un plaisir pour les yeux.

This is a great long exposure. Your composition and POV are great. The lighting and colors are outstanding with excellent sharpness. You managed to capture the blue in the sky without overexposing the lighted buildings.

Thanks for the note and the quality of this night shot of the council. Great colours and contrasts in the composition (housing vs. church) Cheers, Tibo

I'm impressed by the beauty of this picture and the technique you used... Honestly, I don't know anything about "multiple exposures assembled in CS2"... but I can tell that the result is stunning! It almost looks like a painting. There is something surrealistic about this picture that creates a great mood. This lightning, POV, composition and DOF are just amazing. By looking at this picture, I realize that I have a lot to learn about photography and post-processing :) I'm glad to see a part of your world. Bye,
