Photographer’s Note

This evening I want to make a small publicity for my area, Brittany and in particular for Saint-Quay-Portrieux.

In the foreground you have "my" beach, The Châtelet Beach (Length 190 m ) :

This is a big beach of fine sand facing north-west, surrounded by rocks which are revealed as the tide goes out, when you can go and explore them.
This beach is separated from the neighbouring Casino Beach (Length 280m ) by a sea water swimming pool with a diving board, which children enjoy a lot, and a paddling pool for the very young; these help children to learn to swim in perfect safety.
This beach is also watched over by lifeguards.

With the background you have the Black Shore beach (Length 80 m) :

This small beach, which faces due south, nestles at the end of a creek between the Pointe de l'Isnain and the Casino Beach, and is watched over by the first-aid post opposite. It gets its name from the same phenomenon that we mentioned for the Comtesse Beach : the presence of black ilmenite which colours the sand, depending on the tides.
It is quite quick and easy to get there: via the Casino beach at low tide, along the Customs Officers' Path or from Rue Notre-Dame des Flots.

Then if the desire takes to you... Large version here.

Good evening with all.
