Photographer’s Note
We had severe thunderstorms here yesterday evening. Right after the storms, my wife and I were driving back from town to our home and spotted this beautiful rainbow. I thought the rolls of hay added depth to the shot. I must have pulled off of the road a dozen times trying to capture the beauty of this magnificent spectacle.
Post-processing: PSP 8.0 - clarify, USM, Salt&Pepper filter; increased the saturation slighty; added frame.

Don't we all just love rainbows (except for South Parks very own Eric Cartman). This is a really good shot and you did right in keeping the hay rolls in frame. The sunlit grass and bushes, work perfectly.

Excellent shot! Very beautiful composition with rolls and trees in background, plus wonderful rainbow! The sky looks a bit grainy but otherwise it's a very good PP work in my opinion. I like it a lot. Congratulations Stephen!

Absolutely stunning. Perfectly captured. Well done. (There's something about haystacks that just work in photos).

This is stunning, Stephen. I have a very busy period at work these days, but I quickly wanted to take two minutes to drop some words on this one. The rainbow is wonderful as a backdrop for the hayrolls in the green environment. Post-work turned out great and the colors are wonderfully saturated. As for the grain, you could try and neatimage the sky only (i.e. run the whole thing through NI, then select the sky with the lasso/magic wand, and restore it into the original shot). Great job!

Wonderful subject Stephen, and without the rainbow it certainly would miss the ethereal mood that you have captured here. Very nice work. Congrats!

Hello Stephen. It is a pleasure to enjoy the rainbows. This rainbow is beautiful, the rainbows are magic, but the illumination of the image provides him a doubly magic effect. I saw a rainbow yesterday during my trip to the capital of the state, and it was the very beautiful part during my trip. The brilliant green of the grass and of you hoist them, the composition is beautiful and that tone gray-blue-violet of the sky is encantandor. Thank you to share this beautiful landscape with us. Cordial greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

Wow! You have captured one of those rare and so precious moments, Stephen - when the nature opens her heart for a while and then closes it up, so those who missed it can not see it again. Now thanks to you we can enjoy this beautiful rainbow as much as we like... :-) The hayrolls are wonderful detail among the greenery. Very good job and thank you for sharing!

Really nice picture ; nice colors ; nice composition. But I think that the compression level of your jpg file is too high!

beautiful colors. very good composition. well done.
i'm not sure if the grain in the sky is due to the use of salt&pepper filter but i think a washed out sky would work much better.

Nice composition and beautiful colors as it was previously said. I only think that you've pushed a little bit to much the saturation and that's probably why it seems grainy. But that's a personal opinion. Beautiful photograph nevertheless.

Beautiful colours and you're right about the hay rolls, they do add depth to the photo. As has already been pointed out, the sky has some grain in it. A slight dose of NeatImage, perhaps?

So beautiful. It's hard to cature a rainbow, I have tried several times. Wonderful colors and overall composition. The fren field id so sharp and clear, despite the low light. Very very nice one, Stephen.

Of the two rainbow pixes, for me this one is the most in my liking. Interesting details very fat colours and contrast. Good job Stephen

Such a great view here Sephen.
Wonderful capture of the rainbow.
All the differest colors in the photo (not only on the sky) make a magnificent composition.
Very well done!

Nice photo! I like how the rainbow and the perspective on the rools make us look to the trees. I just feel the sky needs the Neat Image touch to soften the noise and eventually a bit less saturation in the greens (just a personal taste).

Personnellement je trouve que cette photo est un peu surréaliste car les couleurs sont trop éclatantes (enfin, c’est peut-être mon ordi !) mais la composition est bonne.
